Jennifer Kaczmarek - President

Jennifer founded Love for Alyssa, Inc. in January of 2011. Her vision of expanding brought about Taking Focus, Inc. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s in Arts from the College for Design and Social Inquiry with a focus on Criminology & Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University, in Boca Raton, FL. She later went on to study at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies in Daytona Beach, FL. Her work Love for Alyssa was selected among the Critical Mass 50 of Portland Oregon's Photo-Lucida. In 2012 Love for Alyssa was selected as a finalist for the Michael P. Smith fund for Documentary Photography Award by the New Orleans Photo Alliance. In 2015 Jennifer was honored to be selected as one of ten artist throughout the state of Florida to be represented by the Orlando Museum of Art for the Florida Prize for Contemporary Art. The three month long exhibition featured her stories Love for Alyssa, Keep the Light On , and WEED: The story of Charlotte's Tangled Web. Jennifer is a ruling Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church, and Chair of the Christian Education Committee. And, is a mentor for the Flagler County Education Foundation.  Jennifer currently resides in Palm Coast, FL, with her husband and three children.

Delynn M. Maples - Vice President

Delynn Maples is co-founder of Love for Alyssa, Inc. She graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Child Development. Her work with non profit organizations encompass school booster organizations, animal rescues, and medical support groups. She enjoys her role as VP of Taking Focus, Inc. and is constantly inspired by the talented photographers and humbled by their profound images. She currently lives in Washington on a small farm with her husband and three sons.

Rebecca Bower - Treasurer

Rebecca Bower attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. She started her career in fundraising with Special Olympics in Saint Louis, MO. She continued on at a a private boarding school in Virginia for a little over 10 years. After taking some time off to be a mom, she worked as Director of Development for a private school in Daytona Beach, FL. She now lives in Palm Coast, FL with her husband and daughter. Rebecca serves on the board for the local chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals.

 

Claire L. Santuae - Secretary

Claire attended college at Carson Newman College, graduating with a Communication Arts degree, worked in the hospitality industry with Ritz-Carlton for many years, and later for Merrill Lynch in California and Atlanta. She moved to Bangkok, and later the South Ari Atoll in the Maldives, with her husband. After having two children, they returned to the US in 2006 and settled in Palm Coast, FL. She is currently the office manager for a large internet marketing company.

Jerry Englehart Jr. – Stills Director

Jerry Englehart Jr. started working with founder, Jennifer Kaczmarek, in 2011 on the original nonprofit and website, Love for Alyssa. In the last two years, along with being actively involved with the the fundraising, her exhibition, and other aspects of Love for Alyssa, Jerry interned at ZUMA Press as a Picture Editor for eight months in 2012. In 2011 he was an Assistant Photo Editor at the College Heights Herald under Ariana McLaughlin, he received the Mountain Workshop Scholarship, was included in a group exhibition at the South East Museum of Photography, and he was asked to coach at the Dow Jones News Fund‘s Multimedia Workshop for faculty of historically black colleges or universities. Also in the summer of 2011 Jerry worked for his third consecutive year with LOOK3: Festival of the Photograph under Jon Golden. Jerry is a graduate of Western Kentucky University.

Jason Greene – Multimedia Director

Jason Greene is a documentary photographer and filmmaker interested in social issues. He  is currently the Director of photography and editor at Blue Chalk Media in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from UCF with a B.S. in Photography. And, received a master’s in photography from Syracuse University. He once held the position of Multimedia Specialist, at the University of Central Florida where he was responsible for still and story-driven short films for ucf.edu, UCF Today, and Pegasus Magazine. As a freelancer he has worked for clients such as The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Orlando Weekly, Reuters and The Department of Labor. Jason was in attendance at 2010 Barnstorm XXIII and the 2012 Syracuse University Fall Workshop,and was included in a group exhibition at a SCPS Show in Gallery 202 FIVE, and Southeast Museum of Photography Easter Seals Project Permanent Collection. He is very interested in collaboration; through combined efforts previously undiscoverable ideas and expressions are revealed.

Dennis K. Bayer - Attorney at Law

Dennis Bayer received his Juris Doctorate from University of Florida College of Law in May of 1985. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology, from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He has been published in Trial Magazine in an article on joint and several liabilities in toxic tort litigation. He has lectured for various groups including the Game and Freshwater Fish Commission and the Florida Marine Patrol law enforcement training classes. Mr. Bayer is a former member of the Flagler County and Volusia County Land Acquisition Committees, Children’s Advocacy Center for Volusia and Flagler Counties, The Rape Crisis Center, The Halifax Indian River Task Force, The Environmental Enforcement Network, The Child Protection Team and ICARE.
